Cephonodes picus is very similar to Cephonodes hylas but immediately distinguishable by the foretibial claw and the orange tinge to the underside of the abdomen

Cephonodes picus larvae are in most cases very similar to Cephonodes hylas larvae, but skin surface more shiny.
